Privacy policy

Last updated 21 October 2026

Full Truck Loads Australia ("we", "us") handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • Contact details you give us: name, company, email, phone, ABN and addresses.
  • Freight details from quotes and consignment notes, including pick-up and delivery contacts.
  • Proof of pick-up and delivery: the name and signature of the person signing, the time, pallet counts and notes, an optional photo of the freight, and, if the phone allows it, the location where it was signed and the device's IP address.
  • For carriers: business details, ABN, fleet and lane information, rates, and the insurance and accreditation documents you upload.
  • Technical data such as IP address, used to protect sign-in and our forms from abuse.
  • For quotes requested without an account, a one-way scrambled identifier of the network the request came from (not the IP address itself), so repeated automated quoting can be spotted.

How we use it

To prepare quotes, arrange and track freight, issue consignment notes and proof of delivery, request rates from carriers, assess carriers, and contact you about your bookings. We don't sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Carriers performing your freight receive the pick-up and delivery details they need. When we ask carriers for a rate, they only see suburbs, postcodes, dates and load details, never your name, company or street addresses.
  • Service providers who help us run the business: Cloudflare (website hosting and data storage), our email provider, and Telegram (instant notifications to our staff about new quotes and deliveries; these never include your email address or phone number). Some of these may store data outside Australia under their own security obligations.

How we protect it

  • Information is sent over encrypted connections and stored, encrypted, in Cloudflare's Oceania data region.
  • Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and new passwords are checked against lists of passwords exposed in data breaches.
  • Staff sign in with a password and a code from an authenticator app. Only authorised staff can see customer information, and the pages each staff member opens are logged.
  • Bank details and sign-in secrets are encrypted separately inside our database.
  • Documents and signatures need a sign-in or a private link to open.
  • The database is backed up every night, encrypted, so it can be restored if something goes wrong.

If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires. To report a security problem, email info@fulltruckloads.com.au.
